DirectPath Recruitment is seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors for a leading Irish Civil Engineering Contractor delivering major Energy, Transport, Water and Wastewater projects across Leinster, Connacht and Munster.

These positions combine a strong gross base salary with a substantial employer-funded benefits package, increasing the overall financial value of the role well beyond the headline salary.

PACKAGE HIGHLIGHTS

ESTIMATED PACKAGE VALUE

At the upper end of the salary range, the combination of gross base salary, potential performance-related bonus, employer pension contribution and the estimated gross income replacement value of the company-funded vehicle, fuel and tolls can produce an overall package value of approximately €115,000+ per annum.

The package value is intended to illustrate the potential overall financial value of the employment package rather than represent a guaranteed gross salary. Base salary is dependent on experience. Performance bonuses are discretionary and subject to individual, project and company performance. The actual personal value of employer-provided benefits will vary depending on individual circumstances and usage.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a leading commercial role across major civil engineering and infrastructure projects, supporting cost control, procurement, subcontract management, valuations and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work closely with project delivery teams, clients, subcontractors and senior management to ensure strong commercial performance across complex Energy, Transport, Water and Wastewater projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage commercial and contractual matters across assigned civil engineering projects.

• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, cost reports and project financial information.

• Lead subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and commercial negotiations.

• Manage interim valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts.

• Monitor project costs against budget and identify commercial risks and opportunities.

• Maintain accurate commercial records and contractual documentation.

• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to support effective project delivery.

• Manage subcontractor accounts and ensure appropriate commercial controls are maintained.

• Support claims, change management and contract administration where required.

• Provide regular commercial reporting to senior management.
