ROLE OVERVIEW

DirectPath Recruitment has been exclusively retained by a premier Tier 1 Contractor to secure an experienced Senior Planner for a flagship Hyperscale Data Centre Development in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

Data centre projects present highly sophisticated, critical-path environments requiring elite planning precision. While your gross base salary is highly competitive, the structured project uplifts, tax-free international allowances, and employer-provided accommodation are designed to drastically lower your out-of-pocket living expenses.

FINANCIAL BREAKDOWN & PERSONAL SAVINGS

- Competitive Gross Base Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 (dependent on experience).

- Project Allowance (+20%): Adds €14,000 – €18,000 in direct gross cash annually while on project assignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Programme Development & Control: Lead the development of baseline contract programmes covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Prepare construction target programmes to identify improvements, develop tender event programmes for subcontractor procurement, and build 4D graphical models or 2D phasing plans to illustrate build sequences.

- Reporting & Progress Tracking: Manage tracking schedules to monitor subcontractor programmes. Maintain as-built data within a Common Data Environment (CDE), input into change requests advising on variations, and validate progress metrics using output rates.

- Management & Leadership: Report programme positions at monthly contract reviews and lead weekly project management reporting. Manage, mentor, and conduct development reviews for assistant or graduate planners while contributing to assessments of programme entitlements under contract conditions (NEC/JCT).

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Criteria:

- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (equivalent professional experience considered).

- Proven experience in construction planning with a successful track record of programme management on live projects.

- Advanced knowledge of planning software, with a strict preference for ASTA Powerproject, alongside programme reporting tools.

- Strong understanding of UK and EU contract frameworks, including NEC and JCT.

- EU Passport Holders Only (Required due to immediate international project deployment).

Desirable Criteria:

- Experience using Synchro and 4D planning tools to their full potential.

- Knowledge of BIM processes and collaborative data environments (CDEs).

- Advanced training in ASTA Powerproject (progress analysis, S-curve reporting, resource management) or contract management (NEC/JCT).

- Membership of or working towards a relevant professional body (CIOB, ICE, APM).
